Love Horoscope for the Week of May 4

Coming off of Sunday’s Full Moon in Scorpio, many of you will be pleased to hear that it will be a relatively peaceful and constructive week overall. Mercury is still strongly placed in Gemini and should give you the opportunity to communicate your needs more clearly – and you might want to take advantage of that before Mercury goes retrograde. And Mars is still in Taurus, which may not be the most motivated of placements but it certainly does “sensuous” well. Thus, you should be able to find (or make) your fair share of social and/or romantic connections this week, provided you make the time to be open for those opportunities.
Speaking of “opportunities,” Jupiter in Leo is approaching the trine to Uranus in Aries. If you do the math and put in the hard work, the “lucky breaks” are more likely to come your way when it comes to getting things done.
The middle of the week is dominated by Sun trine Pluto, which is exact on Wednesday. This could give you a chance to gently yet firmly assert your will when it comes to long-standing obstacles that have been holding you back. Given that the Uranus-Pluto square is still in effect though, use a little caution as to how much will you’re asserting, whether the goal was worthy, and whether your target is particularly cranky that day.
On Thursday, Venus enters Cancer. If the recent emphasis on chattiness and flirtation was not to your liking, the relative emotional depth of Venus in Cancer will probably work nicely for you. Think of it as Venus trading in the short skirt and heels for a fuzzy cashmere sweater and the promise of a home-cooked meal. Both seduction strategies work well in their own way, but Venus in Cancer is more about “the feelings.”
The weekend dating scene may prove to be a bit problematic. Friday night’s Moon in Capricorn is better suited to standing your ground than it is to finding new love. Mercury square Neptune, which is exact on Saturday, may tend to scramble your intentions… but then again sometimes “romance” and “common sense” don’t always belong together. Nonetheless, if you’ve got the urge, don’t feel too much regret if something doesn’t work out… and don’t feel guilty if you miss out on any opportunities.
And speaking of “guilt” and “emotional regrets,” Sunday is Mother’s Day. Since the Moon is in Aquarius that day, tell Mom that the day is not about her about her, per se, so much as it is about “the universal principle of Motherhood.”
Yeah. I’m sure that will go over really well.
