Romancing the Selfless Soul

In relationships, Pisces Moons are able to empathize and share their feelings and affections delicately and thoughtfully. In fact, they are the ultimate romantics. In some cases this is so strong that their capacity for fantasy, deep feelings and dreamy desires cloaks them and their partners in an intoxicating romantic opiate. This can create a private insular world, where both partners feel safe and secure, shielded from life's petty realities. When they love, they love intensely, and they are able to give themselves to their partner in a way that defies easy description. They are creative in their expression of love and while generous with little gifts, they love to receive them even more.

Flowers, perfume, fra grant oils, anything exotic touches their heart and sets their romantic imagination in motion. They are sensitive lovers who are quite giving and thoughtful when it comes to satisfying the needs of their partner. They are able to create wonderfully conducive atmospheres for amorous exchanges. When they give their heart, it is accompanied by all the lofty feelings and ideals associated with selfless and divine love - a good example of this being Joan of Arc's Pisces Moon. Their love can be very deep, so deep that even their partner may fail to understand its depths. 'Still waters run deep' never had a truer subject than the Pisces Moon.

Ideally, their partner should share an interest in their desire for adventure, personal growth, spiritual or mystical interests and, on a more mundane level, good causes such as charities . Their nature is to make a contribution - to their own inner life and to the lives of those around them. In a real sense, self -improvement is a cornerstone of their being, and the theme of enlightenment and growth through contribution, sacrifice and sharing is an idea that will ring true to most Pisces Moons. Their key word is 'belief', based not on dogmatic statements, but on real, inner-life experiences. They are often content with the reward of virtue itself and tend not to strive for recognition or kudos from those they help. Their partner will certainly benefit personally from such a giving nature, but will also have to share in something of the same inter- est to ensure harmony of purpose in the relationship.

Pisces Moons may be even more giving than they should be, as they tend to feel the needs of their partner even when they haven't expressed them. This is a special trait that makes Pisces Moons desirable partners, but if their partner is selfish, it is possible that the Piscean will find themselves giving to someone who takes but who doesn't give back. This can be especially challenging to them, as they are usually tolerant and can continue to give well past the point where they should say something to bring some balance to the relationship. This also comes from an insecure part of their character that values the other person more than themselves. In time, they often learn that this is not a good way to manage their relationships, but it takes regular effort on their part to stand up for themselves and not be taken advantage of. Their soft heart can bind them to relationships that don't work for them, because they can't bear to break away. Being cruel to be kind is just not in their vocabulary and it can take some hard lessons before they learn that the right relationship is one where they are getting as much as they are giving.

There are other cases, however, where Pisces Moons are so much in their own world that they make a special type of radical reformer - one who thinks the world should live up to their romantic and high ideals and who quite easily disregards the usual rules of life by being 'above it all'. Basically, they simply disagree with the way things are done, and they just do what is so easy for them, which is to ignore it.

Living Up to the Ideal

If life is kind to t em, he Pisces Moon will not have too many disappointments in love. Yet it is difficult for t e mundane world to live u p to their romantic visions. They con be very forgiving, but tend to old on to hurt feelings for o long time, not u n like their Water-sign relatives Cancer and Scorpio Moons. Almost any emotional experience leaves a lasting impression on them, which gives them a kind of register they refer to when any experience comes their way. If they have been hurt, it can take some time before they give themselves easily again, but give they must - it 's their nature - and it's sure that they will find someone to bestow their affections and healing love on. Indeed , their affections do have a healing quality and astrologically this is symbolized by Pisces being the sign of healing retreats, places of rest and hospitals.

Ideally, the healing in such places will have an element of the caring and giving that a Pisces Moon is capable of.

Their shy natures can make them too sensitive, however, and if you ave to confront them about a troublesome issue, they do tend to withdraw. This can be frustrating if you a re the more straightforward type and you may t in that they are avoiding the issue - which to some degree is likely to be t e case, but not in the 'sneaky' sense, more in the sense of: 'Is this really necessary?' or: 'I am not equipped for this.' Of course, their nature won 't let them say that to you, but it's what they are thinking. If you are smart, you'll avoid t king a direct, boisterous or confrontational approach with them as they will tend to pull beck and clam up. Gently ease them out and try and get them to deal with the issue in partnership. Maybe the best way is to share your concerns in an oblique way tho gives them the space to come to your rescue, which they love to do.

If you are a down-to-earth person who likes things to move to a regular and reliable beat, it is sure that a Pisces Moon will test your patience. It is often seen that they can hove, almost stubbornly, their own clock and own sense of personal time - which for he most part is rarely in synch with that of others. If this is the case with your Pisces Moon partner - and there are exceptions - then it's best to adjust your expectations and go with the flow. This will keep everything smooth and easy, and in any case your exhortations probably won't do much good anyway.

When it comes to problem-solving, again Pisces Moons take an unorthodox approach, this time surprising others with their ability to deliver solutions from unexpected places. This is the magician in them, which they subtly demonstrate by dealing with obstacles by using mind over matter. They tend to understand the natural order of things and are able to influence or connect with that order through their will-power or their strong talent for visualization. While they can't always explain how this works to others, it is a skill they put to good use in supporting their partners.

On balance, the Pisces Moon is a wonderful partner who gives more than they get. If you are not too picky, can be flexible and enjoy going with the flow - not to mention the eccentricities and otherworldly absent-mindedness - then a Pisces Moon is a good partner for you. The Virgo Moon offers a perfect counterbalance to the Pisces Moon - although they are not known for their easy going, flexible nature, their pedantry and structure offer a lot to Pisces and Pisces in turn gives them a high-minded and flexible way to bring out their best. Other suitable signs include Taurus, Sagittarius and Capricorn. With a Pisces Moon it's a magical mystery tour, so, for the like-minded, all aboard!
